Terms & Conditions
These terms cover the rules for using GetHello. We wrote them to be read, not just linked at the bottom of a page: what we provide, what you are responsible for, how payment and cancellation work, and what happens if something goes wrong.
1. Who we are
GetHello is an AI phone receptionist for small businesses, operated from Austria under the domain gethello.io (“GetHello”, “we”). For anything related to these terms, write to us at [email protected].
2. Who these terms apply to
GetHello is a service for businesses: founders, self-employed professionals, and companies. When you create an account, you confirm that you are acting for your business and are authorized to bind it. If you sign up for someone else’s business, you confirm they know about it and agree to these terms.
3. Creating your account
- You sign up through the onboarding on our website: your business website, country, contact phone number, and your email address.
- The contract between your business and us is formed when we accept the sign-up and provision your receptionist.
- Keep your login credentials safe. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
- Give us accurate information. If your details change, update them in the dashboard or tell us.
4. What GetHello does
GetHello answers your business phone calls around the clock: it greets callers, tells them they are speaking to an AI, answers questions about your services based on the information you give it, captures leads, and can record and transcribe calls so you get summaries in your dashboard. Features evolve over time — we add, change, and occasionally retire features as the product grows.
5. Using GetHello lawfully — your responsibilities
- Ordinary business use. Use GetHello for lawful purposes within your normal business activity, and follow the laws that apply to you.
- Callers must know who they are talking to. GetHello announces that it is an AI, and announces when a call is being recorded. Keep these announcements enabled: in most of Europe recording calls without notifying the other side is a criminal offence (in Austria and Germany, for example, § 120a StGB and § 201 StGB). You are responsible for the legal basis for recording and transcribing your calls.
- No cold calling. Numbers we provide are for incoming calls to your business. Do not use them for unsolicited advertising calls.
- Your content. You are responsible for the information you upload, the way you configure your receptionist, and the content it produces on that basis. If third parties make claims against us because of your content or your use of GetHello, you cover us for that.
- Regulated professions. If you work under a duty of professional secrecy (lawyer, physician, tax advisor, and similar), check that using an AI receptionist is permitted under your professional rules before you route those calls through GetHello.
- No automated legal decisions. GetHello is not built to make decisions that have legal effects on a person without human involvement (Art. 22 GDPR). Do not use it that way.
- No voice identification. GetHello does not identify or verify people by their voice and does not build voice profiles.
6. Availability and support
We run GetHello on infrastructure we control and choose our telephony and AI providers carefully, but we are an early-stage product: we do not promise a guaranteed uptime percentage yet. We work on the service continuously and keep planned maintenance short. If something breaks, write to [email protected] and we will deal with it.
7. Prices and payment
- Current plans and prices are on our pricing page (monthly or yearly, yearly is cheaper). Prices are in euros and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Card payments run through Stripe; we never see or store your card details. For regions where card payments are unavailable, we offer prepaid payment through alternative providers — those plans run for the period you paid for and do not renew automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- If a payment fails, we will remind you; if it stays unpaid, we can pause the service until it is settled.
- We can adjust prices going forward. If you are on a subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email before a price change applies to you.
8. Term and cancellation
- Your subscription runs for the period you pay for — month or year — and renews until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time by email to [email protected] or by deleting your account. The service stays active until the end of the period you already paid for; there is no refund for unused time within a period.
- You can export your data before cancelling — write to us and we will help. After account deletion, we remove your data within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).
- We can end or suspend the service if you seriously breach these terms — for example, unlawful use or persistent non-payment — with notice where possible.
9. Your data and your callers’ data
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy and GDPR page. In short: for the calls GetHello handles for your business and the caller data in them, you are the data controller and we process on your behalf; for our own account, billing, and marketing data, we are the controller. We do not sell data.
10. Your content, our service
- You keep all rights to your business information and the content of your calls. You grant us the limited right to process it as needed to run the service for you.
- The GetHello service itself — software, models, brand, website — belongs to us. You get a non-exclusive right to use it while these terms apply.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, you agree we may use them to improve GetHello without owing you anything for it.
11. Liability
- We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, and for personal injury.
- For slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an essential duty (a duty the service depends on), and in that case up to the fees you paid us in the last 12 months.
- Features you use free of charge — including demos and trials — come as is, without liability.
- GetHello depends on third parties (telephony carriers, AI providers). We pick them carefully and keep backups, but we do not control their networks and are not liable for their outages beyond what the law requires.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow that.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. We update this page and the date at the top; for changes that affect you materially, we will notify you by email before they take effect. If you keep using GetHello after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
13. Final provisions
- Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The UN sales convention (CISG) does not apply.
- For businesses, the courts in Vienna (Austria) have exclusive jurisdiction; we may also sue at your registered seat.
- If a provision of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force and the invalid provision is replaced by the closest valid one.
